The technology of intelligence fault diagnosis develops a new way for the reliability and safety of complicated industrial systems.The diagnosis in the nonlinear systems is the hot and difficult subject in this field.The knowledge based diagnosis will see a bright future.The promising orientations of knowledge based diagnosis may include:from the rule based system to the hybrid model based one,obtaining knowledge from domain expert ,s offering to the self learning of the machine itself,from the nonreal time diagnosis to the real time one,from the single inference control strategy to the hybrid inference control one.
