Operational Effectiveness Analysis of Tank Formation Based on Multi-resolution Modeling

Aiming at the concern on the effectiveness of subsystem which was difficult to aggregate into operational effectiveness of weapons SoS, the multi-resolution modeling method was brought forward to solve such a question. According to the hiberarchy of weapon SoS, the index system of effectiveness and multi-resolution models was created. The combat exponent and battle damage assessment method were used to evaluate operational ability of equipment subsystem. Then, Lanchester Equation method was adopted to model the combat of weapon SoS, and the parameters of Lanchester Equation was estimated based on simulation. By answering Lanchester Equation, the operational effectiveness of weapon SoS was analyzed. An example for tank formation military mission was carried out, with above methodology used, and the result demonstrates to be feasible.
