Research on Three-Dimension Modeling Technologies of Remote Monitoring Platform for Shearer

Taking MG400/920-WD alternating current electrical haulage shearer as an example to study the key technologies of real-time graphics rendering and accelerating for remote monitoring platform of shearer. An algorithm for level of detail rendering of shearer based on energy function. The selection strategy of collapsing edge and erroneous measurement were established. The time and space overhead needed to calculate the new vertex was saved because the selected edge was collapsed into one of its two vertices, which was unnecessary to recalculate the position of a new vertex after edge collapsing. The results fulfill the demands of real-time graphics rendering for remote monitoring platform of shearer.
