A New Explanation for Conditional Sentences in Chinese Based on Formal Linguistics
Tong Fu-q · Journal of Anqing Teachers College · 2015
Previous studies of conditional sentences rely mainly on the intuitive experience of language. The research on the semantic production and comprehension is relatively deficient, and there is a lack of attention to Chinese conditional sentences. Adopting such names as unconditional sentences, objective sentences and transitional complex sentences makes it difficult to have a fundamental examination of conditional sentences and to get a clear revelation of the semanteme of many sentence patterns, hence the necessity of a review of Chinese conditional sentences and related sentences.
