Application of SIP in Distributed Network Management

In order to support large scale distributed network management and mobility of devices,this paper investigates network management and SIP,then proposes a method and architecture that integrates SIP and network management protocol.In this architecture,SIP has the power of session initiating.It can organize mutual communication of entities in network management and supports mobility on application layer.It also has the function of encapsulating network management requests and responses to realize data aggregation and saves bandwidth.This method is very extendable and flexible.It provides a good architecture for large scale distributed network management.
