Data Mining of Student Evaluation of Teaching Based on Factor Analysis and Hierarchical Clustering

Student evaluation of teaching plays an important role in the classroom teaching evaluation.Following the principal components,factor analysis clustering and sum clustering,the analysis of the data of Student Evaluation of Teaching in Luliang University,respectively on overall and professional levels,shows that in the current evaluation system students pay more attention to teaching attitude and teaching method.The clustering results differ in methods.But,they are agreed for the medium and qualified evaluation in the four-grade classification.Managers can adjust the existing evaluation system according to expected evaluation,or makes student evaluation of teaching helpful in management by using different methods of analysis.
