Print and Scan-Robust Image Watermarking Algorithm

In this paper,a new image watermarking algorithm is introduced,which is designed to be robust against print and scan( i. e. slight geometrical distortions and noise). The digital watermark is a square noiselike pattern that is embedded in the Fourier domain and is modulated at a high carrier frequency. Then,several embedding methods are evaluated with respect to their robustness against various distortions. The detection is blind; normalized 2D correlation between the watermark and the Fourier coefficients at the carrier frequency is performed.
