Irrigated area's information system based on GIS

The management of water using in the irrgation network is poor and efficiency of water utilization is low. In order to resolve the persent problem, the model of irrigation network management information system based on GIS, function models, composition of soft and hardward and system design flow are put forward. Based on the building of irrigation area's information network platform, the paper discusses the building of irrigation system. The development platform is GIS software and its database management is RDBMS.
