A Survey of Data Collection Problems in Wireless Sensor Networks

Data collection is a key research topic in wireless sensor network,which studies how to collect sensing data from a monitoring area to the users through wireless communication via the sensor network. The sensor nodes are self- organized as a network,data collection is to find an efficient and reliable way for transmitting sensing data to the users via multi-hops. Data collection is widely studied. The data collection problems includes the design of data collection protocols, scheduling in large amount data collection,the energy consumption in data collection and the data collection problems in mobile sensor networks. This paper reviews the data collection problems in wireless sensor networks.
