During the advent of the information age,along with the continual emergence of massive data,web mining provides a powerful tool for today's massive data-processing technology.The text introduces the concept of web mining and classifies web mining into three categories: content mining,structure mining,and usage mining.According to the classifying,the text discusses application of web mining in search engines,ecommerce,and disease prevention;also raises the questions of web mining,and finally prospects the direction of future efforts of web mining.
