Analysis of the energy-efficiency of the MAC protocol in wireless personal area network

Through analysis of the factors of energy consumption, the principle of energy optimization is demonstrated. By designing MAC protocol, the energy efficiency of wireless personal area network is raised. From the simulation research of energy efficiency to IEEE802. 15. 4 MAC protocol, it is seen that the erergy efficiency for this standard is still not ideal in multi-hop ad hoc network although the design object of this standard is of low power consumption. Therefore, it is still a valuable and challenging work to design MAC protocol with high energy efficiency for wireless personal area network.
