Fault Information Analysis and Diagnosis Method of Power System Based on Complex Event Processing Technology

Wuzhi Zhong · Proceedings of the CSEE · 2007

In order to solve the problem of redundant data but insufficient information in fault diagnosis, Complex event processing technology is employed in the research of power system fault information analysis and diagnosis. With the layer characteristic of fault diagnosis considered, a systematic hierarchical model for fault information processing is introduced in the paper. Based on the presented model, the traditional expert system method is modified and consequently a layered fault diagnosis method is proposed based on the complex event processing technology. The layering processing feature of the presented method is helpful both in controlling complexity of rule making and in enlarging the applying scope of diagnosis rules. Moreover, due to the diagnosis conclusions are the aggregations of lower level messages, it is easily to drill down for tracking the reasons of diagnosis results. Results of testing examples validate the correctness and effectiveness of the presented model and corresponding diagnosis method.
