Survey of multivariate statistical methods for fault diagnosis

This paper summarizes general approaches for fault diagnosis,emphasis is on the applications of multivariate statistical methods for fault diagnosis.General methods are not good at solving nonlinear,time-variant,dynamic,fault isolation and identification problems,different solutions and developments for these problems are reviewed.Furthermore,the future direction of these techniques is indicated.
