The bufferoverflow attacks endangerournetwork securityseriously and havealready broughthugelosses to the people.This paper reasonably sorts technologies and tools in defence of buffer overflow attacks,then analyzes their advantages and disadvantages and discusses the development of effective defensive tools.For the growing demands for network security,this paper presents an effective strategy in defense of buffer overflow attacks from the perspective of the whole system.
