Hand Image Segmentation based on HSI space

In order to develop a simple system of hand image segmentation, we proposed a novel algorithm based on HSI colorspace. The proposed method first transformed the image from RGB to HSI color space, followed by a morphological operation. Ex-periments showed that our proposed algorithm can extract hand from background efficiently.
