According to status quo and existing problems of local area network in seismological bureau of Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region,the author introduces virtual local area network technology to local area network administration of seismological bureau of Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region,and analyzes and discusses the method and significance to build virtual local area network,and solves existing problem of local area network,so as to improve local area network administration and service.
