The paper depicts the method and steps for dissection of communication protocol and introduces the composition of GE Edwards EST3 fire alarm system.It analyzes the structure of the communication protocol of this system and the frame format of data link layer and application layer.Some basic packet formats such as the formats of command service,report service and date/time announce service are illustrate.
