Analysis on Energy-saving Effect of Amorphous Core Transformer

This paper analyzes the low carbon and energy-saving effect of amorphous core transformer in contrast with S9 series transformers on the basis of introduction of its basic characteristics and types.A comprehensive analysis and evaluation of this amorphous core transformer are made adopting TOC method,taking 500 kVA oil immersed transformer as an example.The calculation results show that the amorphous core transformer enjoys significant energy-saving features and the TOC of amorphous core transformer combines 89.7% of that of common silicon iron transformer.
