A Review of the Application of Partial Differential Equation in Image Denoising

This paper gives an overview of the development of par ti al differential equation models for image denoising.We sketch basic ideas behind the different filter models,such as linear model,simple nonlinear model,complex nonlinear model and its multi-steps realization,and analysis the denoising pri nciple of partial differential equation from spatial-domain and frequency-doma in.Last,we point out a strategy of combining wavelet and partial differential eq uation,and give a preview of its development.
