A relative clause is a modifying clause that functions as the postmodifier of a noun or pronoun in the main clause. But there is some disagreement between its form and content sometimes. When it is put into Chinese, the relative clause should not be translated into the modifier of a noun without analysis only. The logic relationship between the main clause and the relative clause should be made out firstly according to the context. Then it can be put into Chinese in many ways, namely, into the modifier of the noun or pronoun, into a clause of a sentence with two or more clauses, into a simple sentence or an adverbial, etc.
