Research on Iris Image Location Method

On the basis of studying and analyzing the existing iris localization algorithm,aiming at the limitation of the existing iris algorithm,a new method to localize the iris was proposed.The iris was preprocessed and the edge in the iris was got measured briefly first,by the threshold value method and projection method.Then a precisely internal edge localization by algorithm through the average the line was made.The localization of the outside of the iris edge adopted an improved canny operator and new hough transform in combination of the two.The experimental result expatiates,this method can orient the internal and external edge of the iris accurately and more fast.
