New model of IDSS based on theory of complex adaptive system

The difficulties encountered in the development of traditional decision support system(DSS)are analyzed first. Aimed at solving the integration of data, knowledge and model, a new model and design idea of IDSS based on the theory of complex adaptive system(CAS)are proposed, which applied the principle of CAS and the view of self-organization. Then the basic architecture and the operation process of the new model are discussed briefly, along with their differences from the traditional DSS. The issues of rule encoding,competition mechanism, credit dispatching and rule discovering are also explored. It's also demonstrated that this framework facilitates to solve the problem of integration of data, knowledge and model and strengthen the adaptability and intelligence of DSS.
