Performance Evaluation of CELL-DYN 1800 Automated Hematology Analyzer

Objective To evaluate the performance characteristics of CELL-DYN 1 800 automated hematology analyzer.Methods The evaluation was performed according to guidelines established by the International Committee for Standardization in Hematology(ICSH) and the National Committee for Clinical laboratory standardization(NCCLS) documents.Precision,carryover,linearity,comparability and differential of white blood cell were analyzed.Results The precision and carryover were lower than the design demand,and the linearity was adequate for clinical demand.The detecting results were in excellent agreement with the same kind equipments.The revelation between the WBC differential results and manual cell counts was good.Conclusion The performance of CELL-DYN 1 800 automated hematology analyzer is excellent and can meet clinical requirements as well.
