Application of Ultraviolet Imaging Technology to the Discharge of High-voltage Corona

The formation mechanism of the corona,the hazards of corona discharge and the detection method of the corona were introduced.The principle of ultraviolet imaging technology was emphasized and it was discussed the phenomenon of corona discharge was detected in the transmission equipments by the ultraviolet imaging technology.The results showed that UV technology wasn't disturbed by the sunlight,which provided a convenient way for high-voltage transmission equipments in the online detection and fault diagnosis.
