Based on unascertained measurement theory,a comprehensive evaluation method to predict the seismic stability of slopes was presented in this paper. The function of unascertained measure of all evaluation indexes was established, the weights for indexes was calculated by entropy weight theory, and a result of the seismic stability of slopes has been carried out using the rules of credible recognition. This method can solve a lot of unascertained problems in comprehensive evaluation seismic stability, and also can analyze the seismic stability objectively.Furthermore, using listed sixteen slopes as samples, the effectiveness were discussed by the aid of comparison both predicted results of the grey clustering method, comprehensive index method, and practical performance of slopes during earthquakes. The research results show that the comprehensive evaluation method of unascertained measurement presents excellent performance, high prediction accuracy and has wide applying prospect,it is an effective new way to predict the seismic stability of slopes.
