An MAC Protocol in Wireless Sensor Networks Based on Energy Efficient

The energy is constrained in wireless sensor network,in order to inprove the efficiency of energy utilization,the paper proposes a new MAC(Medium Access Control)protocol based on energy efficient.This protocol combines the advantages of the BASIC algorithm with that of the adaptive S-MAC protocol.It uses an easy algorithm to adjust the power level of RTS,CTS,DATA and ACK in order to save the energy.By using the adaptive listening,not only the latency in multi-hop transmissions can be reduced,but also some problems caused by using the power control strategy can be avoided.Compared to the S-MAC protocol,the protocol can do better in energy efficient and has less transmission latency,and it does not degrade other performances of wireless sensor network.
