Analysis and Selection of Several Power Spectrum Estimation Functions in MATLAB

The power spectrum estimation is an important method for spectrum analysis.In this paper,several functions for power spectrum estimation in MATLAB are analyzed to choose the best function in order to reduce the error of signal spectrum analysis.A simulationl signal is de-signed and the power spectrum is estimated using these functions.Based on the comparison of the estimated results,it is found that the function pwelch is the best of them on choosing the signal source from broadband noises,and it is valuable for signal spectrum analysis.
