A scale showing quantitative changes of the causative sentence with a reduplicated verb

Based on statistics and analysis of an authentic corpus, this paper demonstrates that what the causative sentence with a reduplicated verb refers to is but a scale of quantitative changes the typical form of which is normal quantity + small quantity + big quantity + supernormal quantity + qualitative change. That means in this kind of sentence, quantitative change causes qualitative changes and sentences of different semantic category gives prominence to the process of quantitative change at different stages.
