The Study and Application of 3mm PLL Frequency Synthesizer

With the technology of double phase-locked loops and digital PD,the 3mm PLL frequency synthesizer is designed,which has been triumphantly applied to the first 95GHz millimeter-wave interferometer for velocity measurement in our country.A new phase noise estimate method for millimeter wave double PLL frequency synthesizer is presented.The results indicate as follows: working at 95GHz,the output power of the millimeter wave frequency synthesizer is over 10mW,the phase noise is-59dBc/Hz@10kHz,and the stability of frequency is 1.2x10~(-6) among the temperature region of-10℃ to 45℃,which can meet the requirement of system for high stability and high precision frequency synthesizer.
