Semantic Similarity Algorithm for Ontology Based on Semantic Web

Huiying Zhang · Journal of Bengbu College · 2012

Ontology is an extension of an existing web,its goal is to make the information on web has a computer can understand semantics.Ontology in the semantic web has played an important role. The semantic web, distributed in the semantic web a lot of data from many different ontology. For heterogeneous interoperability between the ontology, ontology mapping is the most effective way to deal with identity, when ontology mapping, the most important is to calculate the semantic similarity from different entities of ontology, and then determine the mapping between them, and thus similarity results directly affect the accuracy of the mapping, for current shortcomings of similarity calculation method, the traditional semantic similarity algorithm improved in this paper.Through the experimental analysis shows that the improved algorithm is more reasonable, has improved the recall ratio and precision ratio.
