Power Factor Measurement by Using the Wavelet Transform

Power factor must be measured if the controlled parameter of SVC is p ower factor. A new method based on wavelet transform is put forward.This method is using wavelet decomposition in quadrature to the nonsine voltage and current signal,then using the decomposition codfficient to get the dffective value of th e voltage and current,reactive power and power factor.This paper processes the s imulation to this method.
