Adaptive Transmission Framework of MPEG-4 Layered Video

This paper presents an adaptive multicast transmission policy suited for MPEG-4 layered video by combining DirectShow architecture and the RTP payload format of the related MPEG-4 data. This policy uses hierarchical control mechanism to choose transmission scheme, to change compress and transfer parameters and to coordinate videos with different priority, so as to get the highest video quality and utility of network according to resources conditions.'
