Distance-driven Energy Efficient Routing in Sensor Networks

YE Pei-shun · Microcomputer applications · 2008

Load-balance and path recovery bring new challenges to thedata dissemination in large-scale sensor networks. These issues can be partially solved by Multi-path or Path-recovery routing.Unfortunately, these protocols are unable to meet the requirement of large-scale sensor networks. In this paper,we proposed a new routing method called DCEP,building transmission path by calculating the distance between nodes. This protocol does not need nodes with location information.Simulations showed that the protocol had an excellent performance compared with DD and GPSR.
