The application of wavelet transform in the image enhancement processing

According to the time-frequency characteristic and multiresolution wavelet characteristic,this paper proposed an image enhancement algorithm based on wavelet transform.The image was transformated by wavelet to get different resolution characterization of the low profile and high frequency wavelet coefficients of the detail,wavelet coefficient was single reconstructed,low-frequency single refactoring information was piecewise linear enhancement and linear superposition,image low-frequency outline was enhanced;high frequency single refactoring information was piecewise linearly enhanced and linearly superposied,image edges was enhanced.The experimental results showed that the algorithm had high flexibility and that it could not only realize the image contour enhancement,but also realize the image edge enhancement.
