In recent years, scientists of many fields and medical specialists hav e been trying to explore changes of bioelectrical signals in EEG in recognized t asks. And they try to use the changes to evaluate human psychology and control e xternal environments. There are two groups of components in human scalp EEG. The y are derived from spontaneous rhythms and evoked potentials. Because evoked pot entials are only 0.3—20μV, but spontaneous rhythms can be up to 30—100μV, it is very difficult to extracting evoked potentials from spontaneous rhythms. We use the methods of Independent component analysis and power spectral density to separate fixed frequency visual evoked potential from EEG, and gain the satisfie d result.
