Research on Information Monitoring for Freeway Operation Safety

It was held that in order to improve the operating safety level of freeway,it is necessary to have real-time monitoring of information on the freeway,and that information acquisition on the freeway is a problem deserving of study.All kinds of freeway emergencies and influential factors of freeway operating safety were summarized.The factors were divided into two kinds: the static and the dynamic based on whether they change over time.From the perspective of traffic safety,the requirements of information acquisition of dynamic influential factors,which include traffic conditions,weather conditions,infrastructure conditions and abnormal events,were analyzed and the indicators to monitor were proposed.In addition,data acquisition methods and techniques of the infrastructure conditions were emphatically discussed.
