An AIS-based Safety Control System for the Construction of Deepwater Channel

The safety of the constructions above water has become a hot research topic.According to the characteristics and requirements of the constructions above water,a safety control system for the construction of a deepwater channel in Tongzhousha is developed based on Automatic Identification System(AIS).This paper presents AIS,the structure of the system and the function of each component.In addition,several key technologies involved,including the communication technologies of AIS receiver,server and the design of weather and tide tables,are also studied.The system can greatly improve the safety of the constructions above water.
