The frequency is the critical source for radar, communications, electronic warfare and electronic systems to achieve high-performance indexes, often likened as theheartof theheartof the numerous electronic systems. Today, the high-performance frequency source is realized all through the synthesizer technology. Traditional frequency synthesizer includes both direct frequency synthesizer and phase-locked loop. Direct digital synthesis (Direct Digital Frequency Synthesis, that is, DDFS, generally referred to as DDS) is a new technology which, based on phase concept, directly synthesizes the demanded waveform. It introduces the advanced digital processing theory and methods into the field of digital of synthesis, marking the occurrence of the third-generation synthesizer technology.
