A modified ESPRIT algorithm for DOA estimation based on the propagator

In order to improve the efficiency of the data processing,this paper presents a VESPRIT-TSM method based on the propagator algorithm.This method uses two row uniform linear arrays to construct the new virtual array and to obtain the new data,which improve the utilization of the array.Then this method uses the propagator to processing the data matrix,which is composed of the new data and the origin data,to construct the noise subspace without eigenvalue decomposition.In the end,2-D DOA is estimated by this method.It proves to be of the same estimation results but lower error than that using the original algorithm in theory.Its effectiveness can be proved by computer simulations.
