WSFMF:A Web Services Fault-Tolerant Management Framework

Fault-tolerance is the key technology to improve the reliability and availability of Web Services. This paper puts forward three fault-tolerant approaches to Web Services, which are the fault-tolerance based on backend objects,the fault-tolerance based on Web ervers and the fault-tolerance based on Web Services. The merits and demerits of each approach are also discussed. With the method of fault-tolerance based on Web Services,we propose WSFMS,a Web Services fault-tolerant management framework. The key technologies in realizing WSFMF and our solutions to each technology are also discussed. And we realize the framework on the Web Services platform called StarWS developed by ourselves.
