Research on Modeling Soybean Root Based on L–System

With the improvement of the research of the virtual plant, the stress in the research of virtual plant has shift from ground to underground.The root is one of the most important organs of plant.It takes important effect during the growth and development, physiological function and metabolism of the plant.Hence,it is significant to study the root of the plant by visualization method.By analyzing the form and growth characteristic of the soybean root, this paper discusses the virtual modeling method on the soybean root based on L-system and implements the algorithm using Visual C++.
