A Comb Scalar Multiplication Algorithm Based on Point Halving

By applying point halving to Comb algorithm,this paper advances a new Comb scalar multiplication algorithm to improve efficiency of the algorithm on elliptic curve over finite field Fm2.At precomputation and evaluation stage,the new algorithm take advantage of efficient point halving to replace point doubling respectively.Analyzing runtime of the new algorithm,when width of window w=4,efficiency of the new algorithm enhances about 58%～63% comparing with the traditional algorithm.
