Image Retrieval Method Based on Wavelet Transform and Bit Level Technology

A novel color image retrieval based on wavelet transform and bit level technology is presented and realized.Firstly,the direction character of wavelet transform and the information distribution character of image bit level are considered to gain the interest points.Then,to provide geometric invariant image matching,local character and whole character are both to describe image features.Finally,by comparing the distance of these two characters,the similarity between two images is achieved.Experimental results on Corel database demonstrate that the proposed algorithm is more precise and efficient than some others.
