Morphological analysis is a lexical-level functional module which lays in the beginning of natural language processing system. Based on MatLink, a English-Chinese machine translation system, the paper describes the linguistic knowledge and its representation for morphological analysis, and introduces the algorithm for processing such linguistic knowledge. The model of morphological analysis proposed in the paper not only has the ability of self-study, but also semantically combines words into phrase to the largest extent. Experiment results on MatLink indicate that it can reduce the complexity of syntactic analysis, and also improve the correct rate and analysis efficiency of nature language processing.
