Noise estimation based on DCT transform

The existence of noise affects effectiveness of image processing algorithms significantly.This paper proposes a method based on DCT transform that adaptively estimates noise in images with different level of noise and image quality.Additionally,this algorithm is not computation-expensive and can be used in a lot of real-time image and video processing systems.
