A Cancellation-Based Multi-Cell Search Method in WCDMA System

In WCDMA system, handover is employed to better the MT's performance while the MT is moving through different cells. One of the feasible ways to get the scramble code numbers and timings information of several cells for handover is multi-cell search. This paper proposes a multi-cell searching method based on cancellation and gives its acquisition performance analysis. The numerical results demonstrate that the method can effectively improve the MT's performance.
