Upgrade of Caliper Profile Control System

Caliper profile control system is very important for the quality of newsprint produced.The obsolete caliper profile control system was briefly looked back,the latest third generation caliper profile control system was detailed and the upgrading procedure of the old system was introduced in this paper.The caliper profile control parameters and the moisture control parameters of the system before and after upgrading were compared.
