JALGW:A New Design of Plug-and-Play in Open System Environment

The configuration of network devices in open system environment is an hard problem requiring considerable human involvement. It is an important method introducing Plug-and-Play in open system to simplify network management and improve efficiency. In order to realize network plug-and-play in open system, we have completed two works in this paper. First, we realize Plug-and-Play through using Jini technology. Second, we also present an enhance architecture of a Jini-based Application Level GateWay which can manages the Legacy Devices (non-Jini-enabled devices) in open system. At the end of this paper the discussion about function extension,performance analysis and security is presented.
