A Genetic Algorithm Used in Fractal Compression

In order to improve the efficiency of search, a genetic algorithm is used in the fractal partition in image compression. The position and the eddy of the define domain blocks is binary encoded, and the control parameter is adjusted depending on the diversity of the population, then the best solution is found quickly and the image quality is improved. The validity of this method is proved by the numerical value test.
