An Improved Layer Discrete Cosine Transform Coding

Several DCT algorithms with multi-resolution property are analyzed. An improved layer DCT coding algorithm is proposed,which can achieve better PSNR under the same condition of compression ratio compared with the traditional layer DCT coding algorithm.
